There have been such amazing music events in Majorica and Ibiza this month, and there are more to come too, but actually we kinda like not bothering with travel too often so we’re going to try to spend next month in Britain.
The big event we’ve planned ahead for is the Wilderness Festival near Oxford, it’s a beautiful thing if the sun shines and combines all sorts of arty stuff with music from loads of great bands, but then talks and great food (yes, great food at a festival), cinema, nature, and a spa. I love a massage and I’ll be going for a lot more than one!
We’ll be in Manchester for Pride too. It’s strange I’m not that keen on the parading and all that going on, but I do love the buzz and Manchester is such a happening place anyway.
The beach is an essential part of my summer, and even if I do stay in this country through August I’ll head off to Cornwall or Devon to get a real tan for once! We like to get a cottage by the beach and somewhere not too remote for a few of us. It makes it so much cheaper that way and we all cook up at night, taking turns and whipping out the barbecue if it’s a warm evening and there are no midges. God I hate those pesky little flies.
Some of my friends are even going to St Petersburg for Madonna’s MDNA Tour. I love the idea and what an adventure too, but I’m a bit too spent out for that, and I did see her in Hyde Park anyway.
Look y’all. It’s about getting out there, get some sun, a few drinks – but don’t fall asleep, a lobster red face is so inelegant! Have fun.
